Stay On the Plane
Look down at the tarmac
Past stiff straight wings
A cabinet of long steel bodies
Below on the runway
Connected to terminals
Reducing to sticks
As we elevate.
Boundaries must be definite
No curves, to protect
Against wind
Against gravity
Against death.
Just beyond the airport
A gentle swoop
And curve of roads
Navigating space
Delivering travelers
